Do the new!

Do the new!

It takes a lot of effort initially, one feels like giving up.

I still remember when I fasted for 7 of the 9 days during Navratri. Today’s write up is not to enlighten you about our Hindu culture nor is it to highlight the benefits of fasting. The objective is something else!

The first day was pretty difficult — one is only supposed to be on fruits/ milk and one light meal. I faced hunger pangs and felt like giving up by the evening. Somehow I got past the first day.

The body still feels some pain on day 2 but starts responding positively to the new routine by day 3. I got into a rhythm by day 4 and really wondered as to why we spend so much time to cook and consume food in our normal life!

It was a smooth sailing on Day 5 and 6. I was now supposed to get back to two meals on day 7 (to prepare the internal system for the halwa poori onslaught on Day 8 😀).

We go through the same process whenever we undertake something new in our life. A large number of people give up on facing the first hurdle. Another vast majority quits on facing the second challenge.

Winners persist and make it happen..

There’s no challenge bigger than YOU.

Let’s do the new!
