Springtime Bliss in Delhi
Springtime Bliss in Delhi
There’s something really special about the Feb weather in Delhi/Gurgaon
-clear blue skies
-AQI below 200
-and a light breeze.
This is the time when nature is in its full bloom and the stage is set for Tulip garden festival at Chanakyapuri.
Our trekking group headed to the lanes of Chanakyapuri last weekend to get a glimpse of the Tulips.
WOW is the only way to explain what I saw – tulips in yellow, red, purple, white etc.
I could even see the camera shy folks waiting patiently for their turn to be clicked with these beauties 🙂
We spent a good time simply gazing at these flowers.
We then walked over to the nearby Nehru park which had an amazing running track along the fountains.
I sat in a corner and simply marvelled at the beautiful landscaping (a great way to relax one’s mind).
To top it all we didn’t have to pay a single rupee – there was no entry fee (a similar tour in Dubai may have left you poorer by 100 Dirhams per head)!
I was grateful to our thoughtful group leader who had planned this trip.
If you’re in Delhi NCR, you also have an option of visiting the Amrit Udyan.
If not in Delhi NCR, simply head to the best park in your city with your friends and enjoy the priceless freebies..
