The Gift of a Wake-Up Call
I got up at an unusual time this Monday morning.
3.36 am
I normally wake up by 5.45 am and was not poised to take an early morning train/ flight.
I had a bad dream – went through the pain of missing the current financial year numbers for my second venture (based out of Mohali).
I felt stressed.
I went back to sleep again and got up fresh a few hours later.
I spent some time during the day analysing the business because I didn’t want this dream to come true 🙂
With two weeks to go, what could be done to ensure that the business achieved its numbers?
I went about fine tuning a few aspects and decided to track the input variables twice during the day (I had done this as an employee when I worked in sales for a telecom company long back).
I still don’t know how the final numbers will shape up but the stress on Monday morning ensured that I put on my thinking cap.

Its benefits are not just limited to our mind but to our body as well.
Remember Newton’s First Law of Motion?
It states that a body at rest will remain at rest unless an outside force acts on it.
The body needs a dose of mild stress (any form of exercise) once in a while to get itself out of the normal sedentary routine.
It helps!
A mild form of stress is good – both for the mind and the body.
