A Pilgrimage of Memories and Bonds

Experiences, enjoyment and memories!
Is there a way to multiply the above aspects?
Yes!
We were a group of 18 from the Gurgaon Walkers trekking group, biologically middle aged but mentally young.
We were embarking on the greatest pilgrimage of our time, as we boarded the overnight train last week for a trip to Prayagraj.
We were there for 2 days.
We witnessed a sea of devotees – from the railway station to the tent city to the ghat to the market, and yet the city kept moving.
We were lucky to take a dip at the holy sangam on a bright sunlit day.
What else did we do?
We took a joyride on a local EMU train
We visited the famous akhadas
We saw the newly built Shivalay which had a replica of all 12 Jyotirlingas and
We simply marvelled at the expanse of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers as we crossed over through pontoon bridges.
We walked more than 12 kms each day as this was the only mode available on most of the routes 🙂
We lived every single moment
हर पल यहाँ,
जी भर जियो
जो है समाँ,
कल हो न हो
There was always someone ready within the group to take the lead and push others when someone felt tired.
We were there for each other.
I am not sure whether we were able to wash away our sins, but we definitely came back with beautiful memories and stronger bonds.
